Conspiracy Theories

... and speculation of things will destroy your soul and divert your eyes off of Jesus.

This world seems to thrive on conspiracy theories. They create conversations and for Hollywood it is a paycheck in a nutshell.

Why are conspiracy theories so contagious?
What makes us fall to their whim?

Are we as Christian supposed to heed to the conspiracy that reaches to our ears or are we to dismiss them and set our eyes upon the Lord. As time shortens more and more conspiracies start to develop but why?

Since I have a few friends that are attracted to each and every conspiracy they hear, I took it before the Lord for my heart told me that this was wrong.

My dear brothers and sisters

I come now to share what was put on my heart. The evil one is using everything he can to divert one’s eyes off of Jesus so one will focus on things of this world and not the Heavenly thing.

In Isaiah 8 we are warned not to participate in Conspiracies. For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: “ Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken.”

What is it about conspiracy theories that make them wrong?

They try to capture our attention and look at what may or may not happen while the devil leads our eyes away from the Lord and on to the things of evil. When we get involved in spreading these Conspiracies we not only lose our focus on Jesus and but we also commit the sins of bearing false witness and gossip.

Conspiracy theories trap and snare us into walking in the flesh.

They will fill our hearts with fear and terror of what the future holds for us, or who is out to get us. Instead of having faith that the Lord will provide. It causes people to hoard food and supplies just in case it happen in their life time.

One of the best conspiracies to use as an example is Y2K. Many people I knew did not have faith in God to provide so out of fear they hoarded food, water and Gold. They purchased generators and gas to supply them with Hydro. In the end it was one of the world’s biggest hoax.

Like the Israelites in the desert who hoarded manna, these people’s supplies end up rotting and became food for insects. Now I hear many say that we must be prepare for the day that the tribulation comes upon us. My belief and answer to this is we must be wise like the five virgins in Matthew 25. If our eyes and hearts are totally focused on Jesus and faith that the Lord will provide all our need then we will be like the five wise virgins

Conspiracy theories are and will always be the stumbling block and snares set to trap one’s soul. Let us become like horses with blinders on and focus totally on the Lord, Who is before us and not the world around us for only then will we continue to stay on the straight and narrow path.

May the Spirit of the Lord keep our eyes focus on the Lord.
