What is sin?

Sin is:
- Violation of the law (the 10 Commandments)
- All unrighteousness
- Everything that is not done by faith
- Worldliness

Do not focus on what is sin in others, or your life without learning what sin IS.
Sin is actively evil and destructive in personality. Sin has no eternal existence and do not operate outside of Gods will.
The sinner is not unknown for GOD he is GODs enemy.
Evil is ruining their environment and is in the sinner a deadly operation, which runs into self-destruction.
"(1 Corinthians 15:56) - The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law."
Sin creates internal conflicts in the personality where it lives and who has been in his (Satans) power. Externally, it leads into the isolation that must end in the extreme loneliness and creates a bitter enmity towards both the good and evil.
(Isaiah 30:1) “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the LORD,  “Who take counsel, but not of Me,  And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, That they may add sin to sin
(Isaiah 30:13) Therefore this iniquity shall be to you  Like a breach ready to fall,  A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.

(Romans 1:29-31)
... being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness, they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful

In addition you are equally guilty if you take pleasure in them who do these things or pleasure in unrighteousness in general such as thoughts or wicked desires which have yet to be acted upon . Sin could also be neglect of God’s will by not doing things you should have done . A tree is known by the fruit it produces.  “Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” The fire is eternal damnation and separation from God.

(Rm 1:32)  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
(Mt 5:28)  But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
(2 Thess 2:12) that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(Ps 19:12-13) Who can understand his errors?  Cleanse me from secret faults.  13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins, Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
(Lk 6:43-44) “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

(Matthew 7:20) Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Satan’s aim is to compel us to sin, through our own lusts (choices), and then accuse us before God. By making us an enemy of God, we become defenseless, lost and quickly overcome. The devil is determined to kill and destroy, but you allow him to do so when you alienate yourself from God.

( Rev 12:10 ) Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.  (Satan)

(1 Corinthians 11:31)
But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.

  1. Question
Do you have a list of Godly virtues? The types of sins?

    Answer
    7 things that God abominates
In the following passage, the Lord lists 7 things that He hates:

"16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." (Proverbs 6:16-19)
[In verse 17, the word "look" was translated from the Hebrew word ayin, which literally means "eye" or "spring, fountain". The word "lying" was translated from the word sheqer, which literally means "deception". Therefore, verse 17 should really say, "A proud eye, a tongue of deception, and hands that shed innocent blood".

In verse 18, the word "wicked" was translated from the Hebrew word aven, which is better translated as "iniquity" or "vanity". The word "imaginations" was translated from the Hebrew word machashabah, which literally means "thought, device, plan, invention". The word "mischief" was translated from the Hebrew word ra, which is better translated as "evil" or "affliction". Therefore, verse 18 should really say, "A heart that devises plans of iniquity, feet that make haste to run to affliction"

In verse 19,above Scriptures. the word "false" was translated from the Hebrew word sheqer, which literally means "lie, deception". The word "speaketh" was translated from the Hebrew word puwach, which literally means "to breathe out, blow".... The word "lies" was translated from the Hebrew word kazab, which literally means "lie, untruth". The word "soweth" was mistranslated from the Hebrew word shalach, which literally means "to send forth, send away"; out of the 847 times that this word appears, the KJV translators chose to translate this word as "soweth" on 3 isolated occasions, and this passage is one of them. The word "discord" was translated from the word medan, which literally means "contention", and is derived from the word diyn meaning "to judge". Therefore, verse 19 should really say, "A witness of deception that breathes out untruth".]
