By taking a totally biblical perspective we realize our fight is not against man, but against spiritual forces in high places. Man is merely a tool in the hands of the deceiver.
His actions are propelled by the fact he has been blinded by the god of this world and by the fact his mind has been spiritually soiled to the point that anything from above is foolishness to him, and has no relevance to intellectual and academic accomplishment (the cross).
This is why the biblical pilgrim looks past everything that is seen and discerns through the Spirit what is taking place in the spiritual realm ... that the war between light and the darkness has been won (past tense - the cross - end of story) and our inheritance (both present and future) is possessed through faith and patience, while enduring our walk through this life.
true lasting peace can only be found within the confines of God's righteousness and truth ... the cross. This is our beginning point and continuance. There are no short-cuts to God my friend! Seek Him out while He still can be found!
