Religion and the secular world - Two evil

This evil keeps people from Christ - Religion and the secular world
Conversation with Jawahar Peter
*** Be partakers of the divine nature and escaped the corruption ***

This evil keeps people from Christ   -  things in the CHURC

All Things that Pertain to Life and Godliness Reading portion: According to
His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain [relate] unto life
and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and
virtue:
whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
That by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption [ pollution] that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:3-4
Evil Defined: we are challenged by the world and its ruler -

calamity, displeasure, distress,
grief, harm, hurt, misery, sorrow,
trouble, wickedness, lust, lies and wretchedness.

One after the other – the circumstances around succumb us.
Rather than being a ruler of these circumstances, the believer goes beneath
these circumstances letting them drive him without any precise and accurate
goal. Each passing day, the careless new born believer who has just started
his race is greatly distracted and de-tracked by the world and its ways.
No other go, he lets his life to chances and remain tossed here and there by
circumstances.

The difference is plainly illustrated in the church at Corinth.
The believers were fully accepted in Christ. He promised to confirm them unto the end (1 Corinthians 1:2-9).
Their position was absolutely perfect (1 Corinthians 1:30; 6:11).
Yet in practice they were contentious (1:11), carnal or fleshly (3:1-3),
puffed up (4:18), at fault (6:7) and failing to judge immorality in their midst (5:1-5).

Two Kinds of Evil:
One kind of religion is connected with religious things and another is related to secular things.
There is a plenty of religion without Christ is there in the world.
- the god of all these religions is *** “the god of this world” *** (2 Cor 4:4).

This evil keeps people from Christ   -  secular things

Secular things have many departments
– art, music, sports, politics, religion e.t.c - something for everybody.
When it is related to secular things he is called *** “The prince of this world” *** ( John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Eph 2:2).
It draws believers away from HIM. These two built by man in his alienation from God for his own pleasure and happiness. And he was ruled by it.

Great resources to overcome the evil in the world:
  1. 1. Spiritual capacity through the new birth Whereby we are able to enjoy divine things ( 1 John 5:4-5)
  2. The ministry of Spirit of God to give us power to live a holy life ( Romans 8:1-2)
  3. The Word of God to give us the knowledge of His will and wisdom in the path ( 2 Timothy 3:15-17; psalm 119:105,130)
  4. The throne of Grace to give us access by prayer into God’s presence to obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need ( Heb 4:16)
  5. The High priestly intercession for Christ to save us from spiritual dangers in the path (Heb 7:25-26)
  6. The advocacy of Christ to restore us to communion if we have failed (1 John 2:1-2)
  7. The whole armor of God to enable us to stand against the wiles of the devil ( Eph 6:11-12)
  8.  Angelic agencies to give deliverance from temperorial dangers ( Heb 1:13-14)
  9. Continuous Fellowship of Brethren to give us encouragement in the path ( Acts 2:42;2 Tim 2:22; Acts 28:15)
  10.  Gifts from the ascended Christ to give us teaching, shepherding and spiritual help ( Eph 4:11-12).

In order to enjoy the life in a godly way we need to start by believing
on the Jesus that he is the one sent by God and he died on the cross of Calvary,
He was buried and He was risen again on the third day. “ By G JohnThimothy

Conclusion:
“Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest; because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore of destruction” (Micah 2:10)
