Fruit requires that the soul is submitted to cruifixion. Dying to self is the breaking of the soul. When the soul is not broken and it is NOT divided from the spirit, the soul imitates the spirit in the operation of the gifts. Then what is manifested is a counterfeit. Those who love their ministries yet they have not been broken will operate in a fruitless work, where the enemy is able to deceive. I know all about this because it happened to me. I was delivered from deception by the fruits of love, self control or temperance, meekness or humility, and most definitely longsuffering or what we call "patience." All of the fruits must be strong for the gifts to be pure.
