Baptized in to Christ
Being baptized into Christ means being baptized into his death, so that we can be DEAD TO SIN but alive to God (Rom 6:3 )
Some New Age Christianity claims that we should EMPTY ourself and receive Love of God.
THAT IS DECEPTION,
(Rom 6:6-7).. that we should no longer be slaves to sin because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. ...
So if you empty yourself is it not possible that you will be filled with demons?
------ DO NOT EMPTY YOURSELF
(Matthew 12:44-46)
Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicke...d than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
------- FILL YOURSELF
(Ephesians 5:18-19)
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit
(Rom 15:13)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(I would like to quote www.stopsinning.net) again "On a very practical note this is perhaps one of the best way's to develop a prayer life. What I mean is this, why don't you switch from lusting without ceasing to praying without ceasing. ...It is impossible to live in a vacuum you can't stop doing one thing without starting to do another. In this case I suggest replace your lust life with a prayer life."
--- It is always better to exchange things than to empty and the try to fill again, and you can not fill something if there is hole in the vessel.
Dear friends I believe baptism is exactly what Bible tells us it is and this is word of God and baptism it is not so hard to understand our Father speaks to His children, just listen: Romans 6:3-6
ReplyDeleteOr do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
