Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world. He died in our place so that we may not be punished for our sins. However, we must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Begotten Son of God. And, we must believe and obey the gospel that Jesus Christ preached for our eternal life. (Refer: John 20:31, 1 John 5:1, Mark 1:14-15, Rom 10:16, and 2 Thes 1:8.)
Preachers say that it is not possible for us not to commit sin. They say: we must realize it and ask God for forgiveness so that God may save us by his grace and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ wipes out all our sins (past, present and future sins). That is, we can enjoy all our sins and go to heaven since Jesus Christ has died on the cross for us.
This preaching sounds very good and comforting. But, is it true that Jesus Christ died to help us commit sins without fearing God? Or, is it a trick of the devil to deceive people? Preachers use slogans, clichés, jokes, fun, politics, and religiosity for sermons and entice people with it. They do not care to study the whole word of God and to preach from it. Instead they stay ignorant in the word of God even though they have degrees in theology. It is sad that Christians take their word as the word of God whereas they preach opposite to the word of God. However, let us see what the Bible has to say regarding our topic.
1. Why did Jesus Christ died for us?
God sent Jesus Christ to die for us so that we may do the righteousness of the law.
"Rom 8:3... God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us... ."

God bought us with the price of his own blood and demands that we glorify him with our body and spirit.

Sinning is opposite to glorifying God.
He forgives and says not to sin again.
"John 5:14 ... Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins to deliver us from the sinful world and to make us live according to the will of God the Father, but not to commit sin.

Jesus Christ gave himself for us so that he may sanctify us (make us righteous persons) by cleaning us with his word as water cleans the dirt so that we may be holy.

Jesus Christ died on the cross to present us holy, unblamable and unreproveable.

Jesus Christ died for us to redeem us from sins and to purify us for himself.

The blood of Jesus Christ will purge our conscience not to sin but to serve the living God.

The love of Jesus Christ made us to think that we all died to self since Jesus Christ died for us and we all will live the life of the one who died for us. Jesus Christ never sinned and so, those who live his life also will not commit sin."1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. ... 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
Jesus Christ died for us in order to make us the righteousness of God. Sinning people are not the righteousness of God.

It is true that the blood of Jesus Christ his Son will clean us from all sins, but not until we walk in light as he is in light. Light is to be holy and darkness is to commit sin. That is, unless we stop to commit sin, God will not forgive our past sins. 2. Can we be sinning and go to heaven?
It is a debatable question. Bible scholars say 'yes' but the Bible says 'no.' Christian studies talk about grace, faith, mercy, cross, blood of Jesus, etc for our inheritance in heaven. All are true, but not complete. If these are working on a person, it will change him/her from being a sinner to a righteous person and then he/she will inherit heaven. So, the bottom line where rubber meets the road is whether the person is still sinning or not. The Bible says that a sinning person will never inherit the kingdom of God, which is heaven.
Jesus Christ told his disciples that even they will not enter heaven if their righteousness do not exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees.
God's righteousness is opposite to sin. Sinning people does not fulfill the righteousness of God.
"Matt 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

God will judge sinning people and their partners to eternal death.
"Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
Sinning people will not inherit the kingdom of God.
"1 Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Sinning people will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
"Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"
Sodom and Gomorrha are set forth for an example for sinning people in eternal fire that is hell.
"Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
The word of God says that sinning people are under the wrath of God. They will not go to heaven, but go to eternal fire. Let no man deceive you with vain words.
3. False preachers preach false grace
God's grace will not help people to commit sin, but it will overcome sin.
"Jude 1:4.. there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and ..."
God curse the false preachers. Yet there are many false preachers pervert the gospel.

4. God wants us to be righteous and not to commit sin
Ignorant preachers preach evil messages and corrupt Christianity by allowing them to sin.
"1 Cor 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not."
The purpose of God for his people is that they rise up to righteousness and not to commit sin. All unrighteousness is sin.
"1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin... Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God... "
Obeying the commandments of God is the true righteousness. All others are self righteousness. "Deut 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us."
In the last chapter of the last book of the Bible, Jesus Christ identifies himself who he is in verse 13 and tells how to enter into heaven in verse 14 in one sentence. That is to do his commandments. That means; those who do not obey his commandments can not enter heaven.
"Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Obey the Commandments of God and you will be in heaven. God will take vengeance on them that do not obey his commandments.

All disobedience to God is sin. Sinning people will not inherit heaven. If we love the Lord Jesus Christ, his commandments are not grievous for us to obey. So, let us obey God and inherit heaven.
